HC Lugano has added another forward to their roster for next season. Sandro Zangger joins the Bianconeri on a two-year deal, lasting until 2021.

The 24-year-old is playing for Lausanne at the moment, where he signed for two seasons in 2017. He started his career in the system of the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers before moving to the ZSC Lions later on. In Zurich, he made his debut in both of the two highest leagues in the 2011-12 (NLB with the GCK Lions) and 2012-13 (NLA with the ZSC). Two years later, he joined EV Zug and stayed there until 2017 when he went westwards to Lausanne.

In 267 National League games, Zangger recorded 38 goals and 50 assists. A league lower, he made 109 appearances while putting up 31 goals and 33 assists. He has also suited up for the Swiss national team twice so far.
