However, according to the Berner Zeitung, the forward will honor his contract and thus stay with SC Bern until the end of the 2019-20 season.
The team manager of the SCL Tigers, Marco Bayer confirmed to Klaus Zaugg back in October that they were interested in the forward. At the time, SC Bern's team manager Alex Chatelain told the same source that they would be willing to talk about it if Berger were to approach them. However, he would have only been able to leave if the Tigers had taken on his contract in full.
The 28-year-old forward has appeared in 37 games for the Bears this season, recording one goal and three assists.
