Tough break for Olten: Grossniklaus will leave

Tim Grossniklaus, who is a product of SC Bern's organization, is currently in his first season with EHC Olten (six goals, 18 assists in 37 games). The Aargauer Zeitung already reported two weeks ago that the defender, who has already played in 48 National League games, was courted by several teams.

Bircher, for his part, will join the SCL Tigers from EHC Kloten. He is a product of the Swiss League team and has only ever played for teams within their organization. In 32 games, he has recorded two goals and six assists.

According to team manager Marco Bayer, in addition to Rihards Melnalksnis, the SCL Tigers will also add another three of their junior players to their roster in the upcoming season.
