Simon Barbero to play for LHC for remainder of season

Barbero had asked to be released from his contract. The Mice had granted him his request. He will now be able to suit up for Lausanne HC for the remainder of the season. "We needed to add some depth in the defense in case a new injury should occur," Jan Alston tells Jérôme Reynard (Sport-Center).

The 25-year-old Frenchman, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license, appeared in 31 games for EHC Olten this season, recording four goals and six assists.

As for Finnish forward Mikka Partanen, he will be available to the coaching staff once all administrative details have been completed. Lausanne HC had announced the Finn's signing on Monday.
