According to Der Bund, the 30-year-old defenseman is close to an agreement with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers. Randeregger was already in contact with the Rosenstädter back in January before the transfer deadline, but they did not reach an agreement.

Randegger's move to Rapperswil would put an end to a frustrating experience with the SCL Tigers: "The coach doesn't like me, doesn't talk to me," he explained in February to the same source.

For the SCL Tigers, Randegger's departure would provide them with more money to spend - and help them to be able to start the season with five import-players. Although the Tigers said they would not extend the contract with forward Aaron Gagnon, the Canadian apparently remains an option for their fifth import-player spot, Der Bund writes.
