According to the Tribune de Genève, the Grenats have decided to separate the job of the team manager from the one of the head coach.

Laurent Strawson was not yet willing to confirm this to the newspaper. He did say, however, that discussions are still ongoing and that they want to announce everything at the same time. If the information obtained by the newspaper is correct that would probably mean that Chris McSorley would remain the team's team manager.

As for potential coaching candidates, the same source reports that there has been a rumor that Christian Wohlwend is among them. Strawson did not deny that they had been in contact with him but also stated that a decision had not been made. Of course, previous reports by the Neue Zürcher Zeitung also indicate that Wohlwend could end up being the new head coach of HC Davos.

Patrick Edmond, Genève-Servette HC's Elite A coach, is also confirmed to be one of the candidates GSHC is looking at. Also, Peter Andersson is apparently also among the potential candidates, the same source reports. However, Andersson does still have a valid contract with the Malmö Redhawks in place until the end of the 2019-20 season.
