The first hockey game at Lausanne HC's new arena is scheduled for September 24. But will the Vaudoise Arena be ready on time?

The construction of the Vaudoise Arena is behind schedule.

According to 24 heures, the European premiere of the Cirque du Soleil, which was supposed to take place at the Vaudoise Arena from September 19 to 21, had to be cancelled already. The newspaper estimates that this could cost LHC about CHF 300,000 including the compensation for the Circus and the loss of income.

Also the first hockey game at the arena on September 24 seems to be in jeopardy. "We will do everything we can to meet the deadline of September 24 and make up for the delay," Jean-Jacques Schilt, chairman of the board of directors of the Centre Sportif de Malley, says to the same source. Moreover, on September 30, Lausanne HC is supposed to host the NHL's Philadelphia Flyers.
