The current Swiss U20 national team coach is reportedly about to ink a contract.

Soon in Davos? Christian Wohlwend
SIHF

According to the Tages-Anzeiger, there are only some details left to be clarified in the talks between HC Davos and Wohlwend. The 42-year-old is one of three candidates for the position of head coach with the club, the other two being Rikard Grönborg (also reportedly courted by the ZSC Lions) and Harijs Vītoliņš, who took over from Arno Del Curto in November.

Wohlwend has been with Swiss junior national teams since 2012 and also served as assistant coach to the men's national team. Previous to that, he was mainly coaching amateur teams. Besides his engagement on an international level, he was an assistant with HC Lugano from 2014 to 2016, also taking over as head coach after Patrick Fischer was fired ad interim.

There is an other change in a different position in Davos' coaching staff. Long-time goalie trainer Marcel Kull will not be returning for next season.
