Not being selected in the NHL Entry Draft, the forward will look to fulfill his still ongoing contract with his former club.

Eggenberger spent the last season with the OHL's Oshawa Generals, hoping to raise his chances to be selected in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft. Now, after not being picked, the 19-year-old will return to his former Swiss team, HC Davos. Signed to a 3-year extension in 2017, the forward still has a valid contract with HCD.

"It has always been my dream to play in the NHL some day. Since it did not work via draft, I will work to gather interest from NHL organizations for my performances with HCD", Eggenberger mentions.

Before leaving for Canada, the youngster suited up 72 times with Davos, recording seven goals and four assists.
