The Canadian joins the team on a one-year deal, completing their import-quartet.

A new Tiger for Langnau's lineup

Maxwell spent most of the last six years with different teams in the KHL, the latest being Spartak Moskva, and Liiga's Kärpät Oulu. Before heading to Europe, the 31-year-old was splitting time between NHL and AHL for five seasons, with the larger portion of appearances in the latter.

"Ben Maxwell reads the game well and fits our qualification profile", SCL Tigers-team manager Marco Bayer mentions.

In Russia, the forward suited up 251 times for Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk, HK Sochi and the already mentioned Spartak Moskva, recording 59 goals and 66 assists. For Kärpät, he made 96 games, putting up 29 goals and 38 assists. With them, he won the Liiga-title twice.
