That former head coach Craig Woodcroft has found a new job and forward Kevin Romy has retired is a financial blessing for the Grenat.

As Grégory Beaud (Sport-Center) writes in the Tribune de Genève, Genève-Servette HC's expenses will be cut with about CHF 500,000.- thanks to the retirement of forward Kevin Romy and Craig Woodcroft's new job with HK Dinamo Minsk in the KHL. Upon request by Beaud, GSHC would not want to comment, though.

Still according to Beaud, Woodcroft's contract alone costs GSHC a total of CHF 600,000 per year, including all expenses. Even with his new job in Minsk their arrangement to dissolve the contract did not come cheap for the Eagles.
