"He is a complete player," team manager Paolo Duca tells the Corriere del Ticino. "He can play in all situations, is physically strong and has good skating, which is always important for those who come to play in Switzerland. In addition to a good shot and a strong talent as a scorer, he is also good on the forecheck and in duels."

The 30-year-old played in the KHL during the last couple of seasons, lastly for Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod. In 58 regular-season games for the KHL team, he recorded eleven goals and 16 assists.

Duca further reveals to the CdT that they are also looking for a temporary replacement for Jiří Novotný who will miss four months due to an injury. While they have four healthy import players (one of them a goalie), Duca still would like to add some depth to the team for the duration of the Czech's absence.
