National League

After the first on-ice practice this summer, the former NHL-goaltender announced his retirement at the end of this season.

As the 37-year-old told the Journal du Jura (relayed by SwissHabs) after Monday's practice, he prefers to end his career too soon rather than too late.

A member of EHC Biel since 2016, Hiller has made 364 games in the National League so far for Biel, Lausanne HC and HC Davos. Between 2007 and 2016, the goalie was playing in the NHL, first for the Anaheim Ducks and the last two seasons with the Calgary Flames. He also suited up for Switzerland at two Olympic Games and three World Championships.
