Having joined EHC Biel on a two-year contract last summer from HC Lugano, Brunner has signed an extension over three years with the Seelanders.

The 33-year-old put up 23 goals and 23 assists in 62 games during his first season with Biel. Prior to that, he was with HC Lugano for four and a half years, after he had returned from his time in the NHL (New Jersey Devils, Detroit Red Wings). Before heading overseas, he used to suit up for EHC Kloten and EV Zug.

"The professionalism and the ambitions of the club appeal to me. Thanks to the familiar atmosphere in and around EHCB I feel at home here", Brunner comments his extension.
