National League

According to Sport-Center, the former coach of the Swiss national team has had talks with team manager Christian Dubé.

So far, however, there does not seem to be an agreement in place between Sean Simpson and HC Fribourg-Gottéron, Sport-Center reports. It is, thus, not yet clear if Simspon is actually going to be the successor of Mark French, who was fired on October 5.

The 59-year-old has been without a job since December 2017. Before that, he worked for the Adler Mannheim in the DEL and also for EHC Kloten from December 2014 until summer 2016.

Even though Christian Dubé told the Blick a couple of days ago that the new coach should be known by now, it is possible that Dubé and his assistant Pavel Rosa will also coach the team this weekend against the ZSC Lions and the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers.
