For now, his contract with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers is only valid until the international break in November, but Juraj Simek hopes that this will not be the end: "I hope that I'm good enough to stay here. Going back to Geneva is not an option for me anymore," he tells 20 Minuten. "Rappi would be perfect - I need a new challenge."

In spite of a contract until spring 2020, Simek already learned back in April that Genève-Servette HC does not count on him anymore. Nevertheless he tried to make a case for him: "But that didn't work," Simek says. In twelve games for the Grenats, he scored one goal.
