Johann Morant will transfer from EV Zug to the ZSC Lions. "I see Johann as a solid defender who is known for his toughness and can play a good first pass. In recent years, Johann has progressed into a defenseman with valuable pass qualities. This type of player fits the ZSC Lions" says team manager Sven Leuenberger. This season, Morant scored two goals in 13 games with EV Zug.

The right-handed defenseman has been under contract with the Bulls since the 2014-15 season, winning the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup last season. Previously, the 33-year-old had played one season each in Lausanne, Lugano, and Bern. Overall, Morant has played a total of 297 games in the National League so far (41 points).
