Defenseman Phil Baltisberger remains a Lion.

Not only his current team, the ZSC Lions, has been in the race for the services of defenseman Phil Baltisberger. As EV Zug's team manager Reto Kläy confirmed to Klaus Zaugg (Watson), he also handed in a contract offer for the 23-year-old.

Baltisberger, however, decided to stay with the Lions. Their team manager Sven Leuenberger knows what he has in him: "Since his last contract extension two years ago, Phil has taken on more responsibility," he says. "His unrestrained will and fighting power speak for themselves."

The younger Brother of forward Chris Baltisberger has played for the ZSC his whole life with the exception of two years he spent overseas, when he suited up for the Guelph Storm in the Canadian junior league OHL.
