Gunderson's deal also includes an option for an additional season. The option is linked to the amount of games he will play in the 2020-21 season. The 34-year-old defenseman is currently HC Fribourg-Gottéron's leading scorer with two goals and eleven assists in 16 games.

As anticipated by Marc-André Berset (RTS), Benjamin Chavaillaz has signed a multi-year deal with the Dragons. He will stay in Fribourg for three additional seasons. This season, he has recorded one goal and one assist in 16 games.

Dave Sutter, for his part, will leave the ZSC Lions after the current season. He has agreed to a two-year deal with HCFG, valid until the end of the 2021-22 season. He has yet to put his name on the score sheet in the 2019-20 season.
