Negotiations between Yannick Herren and Lausanne HC have not started yet, however, both sides wish to find an agreement to extend the permanence of the forward in Lausanne. A possible deal, however, depends not only on a financial agreement but also on what role Herren could play next year in a competitive lineup.

At the beginning of September, Le Matin reported the rumor that the 28-year-old was being offered to other teams on the market. As a matter of fact, Herren admits to 24 heures that his agent looked for other solutions for the next season during the summer, and the newspaper confirms that the forward had discussed with at least two other National League clubs.

Currently, Herren is in his sixth year with the Lions, and after a difficult 2018-19 season marked by mononucleosis, he is off to a good start. In 26 games, including also the Swiss Ice Hockey Cup and the Champions Hockey League, Herren has scored nine goals and put up five assists.
