HC Fribourg-Gottéron has extended the contract of the 28-year-old forward until 2023.

Matthias Rossi is optimistic that the future of Gottéron looks bright: "I'm convinced that our team and the whole club are on the right track and that we will successfully shape the future in our eagerly awaited new stadium," he says in HCFG's press release.

Rossi is currently in his third season in Fribourg. Before that, he played for EV Zug, the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers, and EHC Biel in Switzerland's highest league. Over the course of his career he appeared in 377 National League games, in which he recorded 121 points (72 goals).
