Recovering from kidney transplantation: Jeff Tomlinson
Optimistically, Tomlinson planned to be back in action with the SC Rapperswil-Jona Lakers for this Saturday's game against HC Fribourg-Gottéron. However, the doctors have not yet cleared him, Blick reports. His body is not yet ready after receiving a new kidney three weeks ago.
On Thursday, the 49-year-old attended the Lakers' practice for the first time since the surgery, watching from the stands. Before that, he visited the locker room and greeted every player. "It is an awesome feeling", he states. "It contributes to my healing. I like my boys here so much, they support me, it helps."
For now, Tomlinson would like to be ready for Saturday in a week, when the Lakers go up against HC Davos.
