When asked about a possible replacement for departing defender Claudio Cadonau (EV Zug), Bayer told Zaugg that they do not to intend to look for a replacement. He even went one step further: "We are not going to do any more transfers for next season at all."

When it comes to Tigers' import players, according to Bayer, there is no hurry. The contracts of Harri Pesonen ((FIN)), Robbie Earl ((USA)) are set to expire in 2021 and the one of Chris DiDomenico ((CAN)) will be extended automatically for one more year unless one of the two parties calls for a sudden halt.

The only contracts that are subject to expiry in April next year are the ones of Canadian forwards Ben Maxwell, 31, and Aaron Gagnon, 33. For the SCL Tigers' team manager, there is thus a focus on the season after next: "A bunch of contracts will expire at the end of next season. That's what we have to deal with now."

With that in mind, still according to the same source, the club inter-alia seeks to achieve an early contract extension of defenseman Andrea Glauser, 23, and Latvian goaltender Ivars Punnenovs, 25, who is in possession of a Swiss players' license.
