Genève-Servette HC is currently short on goaltenders, as Stéphane Charlin is busy with the U20 junior national team and Gauthier Descloux is still out due to injury. To counteract that, they have decided to sign Léo Chuard for the remainder of this season.

A product of the Grenats' youth department, the 21-year-old left the organization in 2018 and headed overseas to play for the Shreveport Mudbugs in the North American Hockey League, one of the top junior leagues in the US. For the Bugs, he made 47 appearances last season.
