HC Fribourg-Gottéron signs Zach Boychuk as injury replacement

Given the length of their absence, HC Fribourg-Gottéron has decided to sign Zach Boychuk to a contract valid until the end of the season. He will join the team at the beginning of next week. The 30-year-old forward last played for SC Bern, recording five goals and nine assists in 30 games.

As for the injured players, David Desharnais took a puck to his hand and is dealing with a hand injury. Rossi, for his part, sustained an upper-body injury. Both will miss up to two months.
