"I am very happy that he will stay with us in the future," HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager and head coach Christian Dubé says about the forward. "Daniel has the perfect fighter's mentality and always sacrifices himself for the team."

With David Desharnais ((CAN)), Ryan Gunderson ((USA)), Viktor Stålberg ((SWE)), and now Daniel Brodin, Gottéron already has four import-players signed for the upcoming season. It seems, however, still possible that they will add a fifth foreigner, Frank Stettler (Freiburger Nachrichten) reports.

In his first season with Fribourg-Gottéron, Daniel Brodin has appeared in 33 games so far, in which he recorded eight goals and eleven assists for a total of 19 points.
