The forward is under investigation for an incident that occurred in the game against SC Bern on January 18.

In the 51st minute of play of HC Fribourg-Gottéron's game against the Bears, Julien Sprunger potentially hit the head of defenseman Yanik Burren. The incident will now be further looked at by the single judge.

The play was not penalized by the on-ice referee and Sprunger went on to score the equalizer for the Dragons. The forward recorded one goal and one assist in yesterday's 2-3 overtime-loss to the Bears.
