With his youth team Färjestad BK apparently wanting him back, there have been rumors about an early departure of HC Davos' Magnus Nygren to Sweden. The 29-year-old has now put an end to this story, stating that he will stay with his current team and fulfill his deal, which lasts until 2021.

Nygren has been a part of HCD since 2017. Since joining, the defenseman has put up 23 goals and 45 assists in 114 games. This season so far, he has only made 15 appearances, as he was out with injury for a while.
