According to Klaus Zaugg (Watson), three Swedish sources have told him that team manager Alex Chatelain is trying to acquire Ted Brithén for the 2020-21 season.

The forward played only for two teams throughout his career, HV71 and Rögle BK. At the end of 2018, he signed a four-year contract with Rögle, valid until the end of the 2022-23 season. However, his deal contains, according to Zaugg, an out clause that would allow him to leave the SHL team as long as it is in another country.

Ted Brithén, who is an alternate captain of Rögle BK, recorded eight goals and twelve assists in 20 games for the SHL team this season. The centerman missed several weeks at the beginning of the season due to a broken jaw.
