Two days ago, Klaus Zaugg (Watson) already reported interest from SC Bern in Ted Brithén. Now, as reported today by the same source, the deal has been finalized. However, apparently, it will not be announced for the moment out of consideration for Rögle BK, the current team of the center. With this signing, SC Bern would have three import-players under contract for the next season, the other two being Dustin Jeffrey ((CAN)) and Andrew Ebbett ((CAN)).

At the end of 2018, the 29-year-old signed a four-year contract with Rögle, valid until the end of the 2022-23 season. However, his deal contains, according to the previous report by Zaugg, an out clause that would allow him to leave the SHL team as long as it is in another country.

So far in this season, Brithén is averaging one point per game, as he recorded 20 points (eight goals) in as many games. The centerman missed several weeks at the beginning of the season due to a broken jaw.
