"I'm in favor of a 54-game championship with two groups of six teams: one in the west and one in the east," Lausanne HC's CEO Sacha Weibel tells 24 heures. However, Weibel knows that his proposal probably stands no chance: "The league believes the schedule is too tight. But in my opinion, the current situation should allow for exceptional measures."

When it comes to his team on and off the ice for next season, Sacha Weibel says that LHC will communicate at a later date: "There is a lot of uncertainty in the market at the moment." Also, Weibel adds that it is difficult for them to project their budget for next season. In terms of a new team manager, Weibel says: "The process is underway, but no choices have been made."
