Jannik Fischer would have had one season left on his original contract with HC Ambrì-Piotta but the club decided to sign him to a new three-year deal.

The defenseman, who is a product of EV Zug's organization, just ended his second season with the Biancoblù. In 49 games for them, he recorded one goal and four assists. On average, he was on the ice for 16:57 minutes this past season, fourth among HCAP defenders.
