Brian Gibbons' contract with the Carolina Hurricanes is running out at the end of the current season, but the American forward already seems to have found a new job in Lausanne, as Sport-Center's report (published on 24 heures) suggests.

Gibbons can look back on 214 games in the NHL so far. Over the course of his career, he suited up for Pittsburgh, Columbus, New Jersey, Anaheim, Ottawa, and - most recently - for the Carolina Hurricanes.

This season, however, Gibbons only appeared in 15 games for the Hurricanes (no points). Additionally, he suited up 26 times for Carolina's AHL-affiliate, the Charlotte Checkers. For them, he recorded a total of 18 points (four goals).
