According to the Südostschweiz, Simi Välär, head of Davos' Building Department, announced on Thursday that additional costs of about five percent are expected. He was, however, not willing to disclose a concrete number.
In his presentation for the parliament of the town, he did, however, emphasize that the additional costs are not due to planning errors, but the costs for the area of fire protection were just much higher than they had calculated.
13 members of the parliament also submitted a motion to Davos' government in regard to the naming of the arena. In it, they demand that the owner of the rink must meet a "minimum of ethical standards" for this area of sponsoring. The name "Peter Buser" may not be put on any wall of the arena.
