ZSC Lions sign Rikard Grönborg to early contract extension

The 52-year-old has agreed to a two-year deal valid until the end of the 2022-23 season.

Rikard Grönborg stays in Switzerland

The contract includes an NHL out clause for the 2022-23 season, which is valid until December 31 of 2021. Grönborg's original contract would have run through the 2020-21 season.

"We want to continue to work on the DNA we created and to follow our path beyond the 2020-21 season with Rikard," team manager Sven Leuenberger said about his decision to extend the deal of Grönborg.
