National League

The top scorer of the last season made use of the out-clause in his contract with the ZSC Lions to try his luck in North America.

Pius Suter will wear a different jersey next season.

Despite the fact that Pius Suter leaves them before the natural end of the contract, there are absolutely no hard feelings from the ZSC Lions: "Pius deserves this chance with his strong performance with the ZSC Lions. We as an organization wish him good luck in the NHL!" comments the team manager Sven Leuenberger.

Pius Suter, for his part, thinks he is ready for the new adventure: "After five years in Zurich and becoming Swiss champion in 2018, I decided to take the step to North America."

It is not known at the moment, for which team Suter will end up playing. Back in March, it was reported that the 24-year-old apparently had several offers on the table and wanted to take his time to decide.

In 244 National League games with the Lions, Suter recorded 186 points, 53 of which this past season, when he was also crowned as MVP.
