The 34-year has decided to hang up his skates after spending his whole career with the Bulls.

Fabian Schnyder

Sidelined for most of the season due to a hip injury, Fabian Schnyder has decided to put an end to his hockey journey. Letting his contract run out, he will not be returning to EV Zug's roster for the upcoming season.

Schnyder was part of Zug's main squad for 17 years. He made his National League debut during the 2003-04 season. Since then, he suited up 873 times in a Bulls-jersey and recorded 125 goals and 151 assists. From 2012 to 2016, he served as the team's captain, and during the 2011-12 season as well as from 2017 to 2020, he was an assistant captain.

"I will certainly miss the daily contact with the EVZ-family, the locker room and the competitive atmosphere. But the many good contacts and friendships will remain and the EVZ will forever hold a place in my hearth," the retiring player comments.
