According to the Swedish news outlet Expressen, talks between the 30-year-old and his former team are well underway.

Will Marcus Krüger return home after this season?

Marcus Krüger's contract with the ZSC Lions is running out at the end of the upcoming season and it seems like the Swedish international has already an option for next season: Djugårdens IF, the team with which he started his career, wants him back.

In the Expressen's podcast "Sanny and Svensson", hockey writer Johan Svensson says that Djugården's team manager Joakim Eriksson and Marcus Krüger are already talking about a return in 2021.

Marcus Krüger joined the ZSC Lions in summer 2019 after eight full seasons in North America and more than 600 games in the NHL. Last season, the Swedish international appeared in 34 games, in which he recorded 19 points (eight goals).
