The former player of the San Jose Sharks will remain with the Bianconeri until at least November 15.

The Cornèr Arena will be the new home of Tim Heed.

In the press release, the team manager of HC Lugano, Hnat Domenichelli explains the choice of this short-term deal: "Due to the coronavirus the situation is still very uncertain and for this reason we preferred to sign an agreement valid only until mid-November. By then we will have clearer ideas about the market in Europe and North America and the situation in the world linked to the pandemic."

With the signing of Tim Heed, HC Lugano has now four import-players under contract for the upcoming season. One of them however, namely Jani Lajunen, is recovering from a hip injury that will keep him out for a couple more months.

Tim Heed, 29, returns therefore to Europe after four years in the Sharks' organization, for which he suited up 106 times in the NHL and 84 times in the AHL with the Barracuda. Last season, the right-handed Swede collected five points in 38 NHL games.
