The 26-year-old also reveals to the Berner Zeitung that several teams have shown interest in him. SCL Tigers team manager Marc Eichmann already explained that he is willing to do everything in his power to re-sign the Latvian goalie.
The Tigers have already lost their two star forwards, Chris DiDomenico and Harri Pesonen, making Ivars Punnenovs their last big name and potential top-earner next season. The goaltender himself explained that the decision about his future is not only up to him as his wife will have a say as well.
