"If I were to play in Switzerland, then Biel would be the only place for me," Nikolaj Ehlers tells the Bieler Tagblatt. However, as he also states, his NHL team, the Winnipeg Jets, is currently not thinking about loaning him to any European team.
"I am one of the young players that the club does not wish to lend to a team abroad. The risk of injury is too high," the 24-year-old forward further elaborates. It is, however, still not clear, when the NHL will start their 2020-21 season. It might thus be a while before the former EHC Biel player - and other NHL players - might play their next professional game.
