In a letter to SC Bern, the two groups announce that they consider SC Bern's decision to grant refunds very generous, but they also write: "We would like to go one step further and call on all fans and supporters of SCB to renounce any announced refunds and thus support the club financially."
SC Bern, who has published parts of the letter on their website, is thankful for the support: "We can do no more than express our heartfelt thanks for this great commitment," SCB's CEO Marc Lüthi says and promises: "The SCB will not forget this act of solidarity."
SC Bern also states that it is, of course, absolutely voluntary to waive any refunds. In any case, they need a written notification. Letters to their fans go out today with a stamped reply envelope, with which they can accept or renounce the granted refunds.
