In an extensive interview with the Neue Zürcher Zeitung, the 41-year-old says that he can imagine returning to HC Davos next season.

For now, Joe Thornton will only wear HCD's jersey until the season in the NHL starts. About a month ago, the forward signed a one-year deal with the Toronto Maple Leafs after 15 years with the San Jose Sharks.

As he says to the NZZ, it is an option for him to return to Davos next season: "That's completely open. I've been looking from year to year for quite a while now and I've done well with it, this way I have minimum stress," he explains and adds: "It's possible that I'll be here."

In the interview, he also talks about his first time in Davos in 2004, a dispute with Arno del Curto after he was late to practice because he had watched a baseball game all night, and how he sees his future after hockey. You can find the link to the whole interview below.
