Last summer, however, HC Davos was not willing to let the forward leave as he still was under contract with them for another season. At the end of the current term though, Fabrice Herzog's contract with HCD expires and he is free to leave the Landwassertal.
Although Davos would like to keep Herzog, there are also other teams than Zug interested in him: According to a report from Klaus Zaugg (Watson), also HC Lugano and SC Bern have cast an eye on the 25-year-old.
In Herzog's stead, Axel Simic (ZSC), Valentin Nussbaumer (EHCB), and Dominik Egli (SCRJ Lakers) could join Davos. Although team manager Raeto Raffainer is not willing to confirm any deal, he admits to the Südostschweiz that there have been discussions with all three of them.
