In addition to his function as HC Fribourg-Gottéron's team manager, the 43-year-old Canadian took over the position as head coach from Mark French, who was relieved of his duties in October last year.

"In this set-up for over a year now, Christian Dubé has demonstrated that he is capable of fulfilling both functions successfully," the club writes in the media release. Nevertheless, it has come to slight organisational changes. In addition to his duty as head of training, Gerd Zenhäusern has been appointed as assistant team manager.
