According to Watson's Klaus Zaugg, SC Bern is close to finalizing a contract with Chris McSorley. The Canadian is supposed to take over as team manager, while the current holder of that position, Florence Schelling, will switch to a more representative function.

McSorley will apparently also be tasked with expanding Bern's youth organization, working on a farm team project as well as advising on the eventual new PostFinance Arena.

Former team manager Alex Chatelain is also said to take over the Bears' scouting department under the guide of McSorley.

Earlier this month, Marc Lüthi admitted that they had been in contact with the Canadian, but Bern's CEO stated that the former Grenat would not join them as team manager nor as head coach.
