As Willy Vögtlin, who is responsible for the schedules, confirms to Klaus Zaugg, there are two additional games planned in the regular season.

As Klaus Zaugg (Watson) reveals, the league is currently planning the schedule for the upcoming season. This time, however, there are two scenarios: one with 12 teams and another with 13 teams - in case one team will be promoted from the Swiss League.

The odd thing about it: if there are still 12 teams in the National League next season, there will be 54 regular season games - two more. But if there will be 13 teams, still 52 games. "That's the way it is," Willy Vögtlin confirms the two scenarios to Zaugg.
