When the forward signed his last contract, he had announced that he would retire at the end of the 2020-21 season. Things might turn out differently now.

As he tells Blick, he has agreed with Sven Leuenberger, the team manager of the ZSC Lions, to reevaluate the situation after the end of the season.

He is, however, certain that he would not continue his career elsewhere: "I have learned that team success is a thousand times more awesome than personal success."

Roman Wick is a product of EHC Kloten and joined the ZSC Lions in the 2012-13 season. Since then, he has only ever played for the Lions. This season, the 35-year-old forward has recorded two assists in 27 games.
