As anticipated by Expressen, Ted Brithén will play for Rögle BK from here on out. The Swede would have had a valid contract in place with the Bears until the end of the 2021-22 season. In 22 games, he recorded five goals and eight assists.
"It is of course a bit special. I will always follow my heart, for me, it is important to thrive where I am. I am so passionate about Rögle and also it was a perfect fit for my family when the opportunity arose to come home early. Money is not everything," Brithén says about getting out of his contract early on Rögle BK's website.
SC Bern will now once again become active on the player market to look for a replacement for the Swede. With Dustin Jeffrey, Tomi Karhunen, and Jesper Olofsson, they have currently three import players under contract.
