National League

Christian Dubé is currently busy finalizing HC Fribourg-Gottéron's roster for the next season. Several question marks remain for the moment.

As he tells the Freiburger Nachrichten, a contract extension with either Marc Abplanalp or Philippe Furrer might be an option to fill the remaining roster spot in defense: "If Philippe plays like he is currently playing, then he is very interesting for us."

As for the offense, Dubé is still waiting on the decision of Andreï Bykov. If the forward decides to stay, forwards from their U20 team are going to get a chance to play in the National League next season.

Given the fact that the Dragons will not be able to sign five import players next season, Dubé will also have to make a decision there. Ryan Gunderson, Chris DiDomenico, and Daniel Brodin all have contracts in place for the upcoming season.

The team manager will thus have to make a decision whether he will keep on David Desharnais or Viktor Stålberg. Dubé also makes clear that, despite the rumors, Brodin will also play for them in the 2021-22 season.
